I worked for Transocean, Sonat Offshore, IDC for 25 years as a Senior Subsea Supervisor and have never seen practices as described in the videos. Normal BOP tests are done weekly and there are no ways around this it is mandatory by law. Transocean people on the rigs have the power at any time to shut a well in that they feel is not safe, this was preached at safety meetings all the time if you feel something is wrong stop shut it down and check. As far as the Annular being stripped through with pipe this has happened before, you can shut the BOP in and pull the upper package to repair the bag as required why this was not done needs to be answered. The senior drilling people on the rig should have been made aware of the annular problem at the time, don,t forget a rig like this has a lot of people talking to each other news travels fast.
