1. I have NOT defaulted on my mortgage.
2. I bought a new car in October of 2008.
3. System Improvements hired a new employee in November of 2008 and nobody has been laid off.
4. I bought lots of Christmas presents.
5. I have three kids in college (talk about an economic stimulus package – this one directed at university professors, book companies, and Apple Computer).
6. I went to Las Vegas in December (more economic stimulus to the local Vegas economy).
7. System Improvement gave end of year bonus based on actual 2008 performance (not fear for 2009).
8. We have not cancelled any public courses (hotels appreciate that).
9. We are planning a blockbuster Summit for October (more economic stimulus for Nashville and speakers).
10. I am optimistic that clients will see the value of a sound improvement program based on advanced root cause analysis and that thoughtful performance improvement can help lead a good company to great future results.
