Temptation was just too great for a young boy in Kansas… cold pole… wet tongue …. a movie clip of a boy getting his tongue stuck to a pole (“A Christmas Story”). It just could not be real… but too late his tongue really does get stuck. NOW LOOK AT THE BLOG POSTS ON THIS SITE….. WHICH INCIDENT HAS NEVER OCCURRED BEFORE AND COULD NOT HAVE BEEN PREVENTED?

… it only happens in movies!
… it has never happened before!
… it will only happen to people who don’t know any better!
… this will just take a minute, what could happen!

Most incidents can be prevented by PROACTIVE assessments…. catching problems before they happen. You need to understand why the temptation occurs, could it be: Human Engineering, Procedures, Management Systems, Quality Control, Training, Communication, or/and Work Direction… or you can just wait until you get your tongue stuck again… at least you won’t be able to answer why the incident occurred again.
