When working in the TapRooT® software, there may be times when you need to send your investigation to a colleague to evaluate or additional information.  The easiest way to do this is to export the investigation and have the other individual(s) import the investigation into their TapRooT® software.  This is a straight-forward process and only requires a couple steps to complete.

Step 1:
Open your investigation details by selecting the [Open Investigation Info] button.

Step 2:
Select the [Export] button and follow the prompts to save your investigation to the location of your choice such as your Desktop location.


**NOTE** All TapRooT® investigations are saved as an XML file with the extension of .tx5.  They can only be opened by first importing them into the TapRooT® software.
