You receive the error message below when attempting to view the Investigation or Audit Report from the Technique Reports window.


This issue occurs in rare instances when the SQL Server database fails to install properly on the system.


To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  • Download the fix by clicking here and save the file to your desktop.
  • Right click on and select ‘Extract All Files’. This will extract the files and create a folder on your Desktop named Windows5310-InvAudRptFix
  • Right-click on the Windows5310-InvAudRptFix.bat file inside the newly created folder and select ‘Run as Administrator’ to execute the fix.
  • When prompted, press any key to close the window.
  • Open the TapRooT® software and verify you can view the Investigation Report.
