Memories from Idaho
Back in 1979, I spent a long six months in Idaho at the S1W reactor learning to be a Navy Nuc.
There’s lots I remember about the experience and these pictures and a few of Rickover’s sayings brought back lots of memories.

The pictures came from a history of the Idaho National Laboratory that is available for download at:

Remember it very well even though it was a long time ago. It started a journey that has taken me around the world many times. I have never been back and need to make the journey. Thank you for the memories.
I enjoyed my winter of 1982 at S1W, the pictures brought back a flood of memories. Qualifying , bringing in the 6′ long sub sandwich on a bus full of hungry people, seeing the Charpe V-notch test equipment first hand, wishing I could hunt the monster mule deer that grazed just outside the fence, and all the friendly people of Idaho Falls just to name a few.
