2012 Summit Update: Do You Participate in the Global Entry Travel Program?

If you’ve marked your calendar to attend the 2012 TapRooT® Summit, February 29-March 2, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the first step in your upcoming travel plans may be to become a participant in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry Trusted Travel program.

What are the benefits of participating in the Global Entry Travel program?

Many of our Summit attendees are frequent international travelers, and this program not only eliminates process lines and paperwork, but also offers access to expedited entry benefits in other countries and significantly reduced wait times.  It is available at major U.S. airports.

Who is eligible?

U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents of the U.S are eligible to apply for membership.

How does it work?

Approved participants in the program may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports avoiding long lines in the traditional arrival process.  Participants declare all goods they are importing into the U.S. and answer customs declaration questions at the kiosk, but do not need to complete the paper customs form before arrival.

How do you become an approved participant?

If this helps you with your Summit travel, why not check it off the list while there is still plenty of time?  Find information on how to apply for Global Entry on the CBP web site www.globalentry.gov.
