Join Me for the Advanced TapRooT® Skills Track

The 2023 Global TapRooT® Summit will be here before we know it! April is not that far away, and I’m excited about seeing everyone at the Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe – Houston, Texas. As track leader for the Advanced TapRooT® Skills Track, I want to invite you to register and tell you a little about what I have planned.
Improve Evidence Collection in the Advanced TapRooT® Skills Track
TapRooT® Incident Investigators know that collecting information is the first step of the TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis Process, and I want to make it easier for you to collect more reliable information. That’s why I’ve included a session about how to use the TapRooT® App as well as “3 Skills to Take your Investigation to the Next Level” which will be all about advanced evidence collection techniques.
Learn from Other TapRooT® Users
Two of my favorite sessions at the Summit are “Sharing Investigation & RCA Best Practices” and “TapRooT® Users’ Success Stories.” The Summit is well known as a great networking conference where TapRooT® Investigators share their successes that inspire others, and I’m always impressed with how innovative TapRooT® Users are.
Lessons from High-Reliability Organizations
TapRooT® has a reputation for following standards created by high-reliability organizations, and I’m excited about learning lessons applicable to any high-risk activity from Chris Hansen from NASA. He will be sharing lessons learned from an investigation of one of the most dangerous incidents in US Spacewalking history.
Create Better Learning Teams
If you are not familiar with learning teams or are frustrated with the results of your learning teams, I know Alex Paradies will have some great ideas for you to overcome challenges. Learn to gather business intelligence to support everyday work before an incident occurs.
Improve your Incident Investigation Reports
Investigators love the report feature in the TapRooT® Software. In TapRooT® style, you will learn by doing – attendees will build a sample investigation report to replicate in their own organizations.
Apply Emotional Intelligence to Incident Investigations
Soft skills are important to your success as an Incident Investigator. Emily Pritt will be leading a great interactive session about the characteristics of emotionally intelligent people and the five qualities of emotional intelligence you don’t want to miss.
Put it all Together
Building a better improvement program can feel like a puzzle, but Rick Hulse will help you put it all into perspective with his “Roadmap to Success” session. Learn where the gaps are in your program and how to best address them.

Of course, you can expect to be inspired by our keynote speakers (I’m working hard on my keynote, “The Psychology of Happiness”), and I can’t wait to see you at the reception on Wednesday night.
Learn more about the resort, and make plans to stay all week by registering for a PreSummit Course (I will be teaching Evidence Collection & Interviewing again along with Emily Pritt).
Register now for the 2023 Global TapRooT® Summit, April 24-25, 2023, Lake Conroe-Houston, Texas!
