Blame Game
Headlines from a recent article stated, “Wii Puts 10 in Hospital a Week.” According to the article, there has been a 100% increase in injuries reported from users of the popular game console. 100%! The blame game seems to be fully activated.
Here are the symptoms:
- tendon stretching
- possible arthritis or rheumatism
- “Wii-knee” with the knee becoming dislocated or popping out of joint
So is Wii to blame for putting 10 in the hospital a week? Should Wii be taken off the market because it is a danger to society? Nope, these problems stem from human errors including not stretching before the game or taking breaks between the games.
By the way, I saw another news release where senior citizens use Wii to simulate bowling. So before you graduate to more challenging games, take care of your physical health. Blame arrived too quickly again.
