Consumer Product Safety Issues

Consumer Product Safety

When we think, or hear, about safety issues in the workplace, we almost automatically think of the most common: transportation accidents, workplace violence, slipping and falling, toxic events, particularly chemical and gas exposure, getting struck by objects, electrocution or explosion, repetitive motion and ergonomic injuries, Then, we almost always relate those to an employee. After all, those are the ones who are always injured, right? Wrong.

What about the consumer of our product? If we are not performing our jobs in a safe manner, the consumer can be affected.

Consumer product safety protects consumers from risks posed by consumer products.

Think about the cosmetics being used by millions of people every day. If the employees at the cosmetic industry performing poorly and unsafe just one day, that could lead to a huge burden on many of those millions of consumers.

That doesn’t have to happen. . . .
