Do Employee Health Management Programs Work?

Dr. Rebecca Blessing and Ralph Blessing will be returning to the 2014 Global TapRooT® Summit to share about workplace wellness programs.

Health Management Organizations are making their way into corporate America to help manage rising health care costs. Both employers and employees are affected by these rising costs with loss of work productivity, higher insurance rates and chronic illness that is overwhelming our health care systems. In this session, they will explore the top health issues and examine if employer health management programs in the workplace are a viable option to this spiraling issue.

Rebecca.BlessingDr. Rebecca A. Blessing is a Doctor of Chiropractic. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Health Psychology and is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist. For 25 years she has been studying alternative and complementary healing methods. She is a strong advocate for integrating complementary and alternative medicine into main stream medicine.

Her primary focus is manual therapy, working with individuals on a physical, emotional and spiritual level to achieve their optimal health and balance. She is the owner of Integrated Health Concepts LLC and Vice President of Atlanta Wellness Institute. She is a member of the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education where she is a Professional Standards Chair that recently completed the task of creating national standards and ethics for massage therapy educators. She has been an instructor of Neuromuscular Therapy for myofascial pain dysfunction for 15 years. For the past 10 years she has been practicing with Dr. Harry Delcher, MD an endocrinologist who specializes in hormone disorders and a Dr. Bernadette Saviano who is Holistic Health Counselor.

Ralph.BlessingRalph Blessing possesses over 25 years of safety and health experience encompassing general industry, construction, training and public speaking. Ralph possesses a M.S. in Occupational Safety and Health and is an adjunct professor at both Southern Polytechnic State University in the Construction Management Program and at the College of Safety and Environmental Studies at Columbia Southern University.  In addition, he has conducted safety classes that have trained in excess of 4000 personnel.
