Eliminating Sentinel Events

Have you heard about the eye-opening 2009 Summit track planned for healthcare professionals, Eliminating Sentinel Events? Tommy Garnett will be presenting “A Near Miss Medical Gas Incident” during the Healthcare Root Cause Analysis Presentations. “To do or not to do a Root Cause Analysis, that is the question!” said Tommy. Other business critical sessions Tommy will be co-presenting are “Using Nuclear Industry Analysis Concepts in Healthcare Industry Sentinel Event Investigations” and “Healthcare Performance Improvement.”


Tommy has 20 years of experience in Patient Safety & Risk Management. He is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Trauma Nurse, and a Flight Nurse. Tommy graduated from the American Institute of Medical Law, and is a licensed and Board Certified Healthcare Risk Manager. He is also Certified as a DoD Healthcare TapRoot® Instructor.
