Halliburton admits to not testing final cement mix

Here’s the AP story that details the error that Halliburton has admitted.

It almost seems refreshing to see a company admitting an error in connection with the blowout and fire.

The article says:

Halliburton in a statement issued late Thursday night said it did not conduct a stability test on the final mix of cement after a last-minute change by BP added more of a certain ingredient.

That’s one causal factor of many. Let’s see if companies own up to their mistakes for the rest of the errors.
