Heat Wave in Europe Leads to Shorts at Work

Having traveled in Europe, I’m surprised if most employees have shorts to wear to work (almost everyone you see wearing shorts is a tourist). But this article suggests amending corporate dress codes to allow shorts during heat waves 30ºC (86ºF).

Note that many European building have little or ineffective air conditioning that make indoor temperatures get even hotter on Summer days.
