How Far Away is Death? Workover Crew

workover

You know that a workover refers to any type of oil well undergoing an invasive intervention — techniques such as snubbing, coiled tubing, wireline. You also know it’s fraught with danger.

The important thing here is that a workover is a costly process of pulling and replacing equipment to further a well’s production, fraught with possibilities of failure. It’s all on the rig crew to successfully perform hard manual labor, often with long shifts. Even though most crews are well paid, the possibility of danger is never far away.

Even in the best-run companies, there looms an ever-present chance of a major incident — an explosion, a plant upset or an equipment failure, a major quality issue, a serious injury or fatality, or a significant environmental release.

When this happens, we are ready to find and fix the real root causes of the problem with TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis and to effect change so the incident will not be repeated. We use a very detailed 7-step process that includes both essential TapRooT® Tools and optional ones. In addition, our investigators look for generic (systemic) causes to try to prevent a broad catalog of of future incidents.

Become trained in troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues and incidents.
