Position Description
Ground based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Orbital Boost Vehicle (OBV) needs an experienced mechanical engineer to develop the new two stage program and support execution of the existing three stage program. The selected candidate will join the Boeing Mechanical Systems team to support and oversee subcontractor Orbital Sciences. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Requirements development during trade studies to verification through analysis and test. Hardware qualification from development in design reviews, Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) to delivery in Hardware Acceptance Reviews (HAR). Anomaly resolution from root cause to correction action (RCCA) in Material Review Board (MRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) Program support with Change Control Board (CCB), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and Risk Management (RM).
