Job Opening: EG&G/LSI – Batavia, IL – Project Quality Assurance Engineer – Needs Root Cause Analysis Skills
Become part of a dynamic team that will provide industry expertise in the area of quality and process improvement services for our Management and Operations contract with the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Fermi National accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois.
Bachelor degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Science or related field and 5 years of experience with monitoring, measuring and reporting quality status of high cost laboratory research projects or equivalent. U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position requires a degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Science or related field and five years of experience or equivalent with maintaining quality programs (prior DOE or government lab experience helpful).
Candidate must have advanced communication, analytical, leadership and training skills to assist the QA Manager in the implementation of new quality initiatives to the site facility of approximately 2,000 employees. Candidates should hold one or more of the following national certifications:
American Society for Quality (ASQ);
Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE),
Quality Auditor (CQA),
Quality Engineer (CQE),
Quality Inspector (CQI), and
Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB).
Prior experience implementing quality and process improvement programs.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards (or AS, QS, TS equivalent).
Proficiency working with MS Office.
Working knowledge of quality assurance tools and methods such as audits, training, corrective and preventive actions, process improvement and problem solving, statistics.
Experience working with teams.
