Candidate will fill the role of Process Engineer to support facilities. Responsibilities will be equally split between process engineering and controls support. Additional job responsibilities include: Monitor production yield, quality and throughput of the process. Provide written and verbal suggestions/explanations to be acted on in order to improve process performance as well as operator training to sustain process and controls improvements. Act as the Process Control subject matter expert for process hazards analysis review, process design modifications, risk assessment review, or incident investigations. Assist with technical coverage for the operation 24/7 in coordination with other engineering and maintenance staff. Manage Production, Logistics, Inventory, and Quality for Production Areas. Participate in safety and environmental initiatives that will continue to contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing company programs. Ensure efficient use of resources and stay within approved expense and capital spending guidelines in completing Process Engineering. Utilizes process engineering, problem solving skills to determine solutions that will improve system performance and economic return. Team with Operations and Maintenance support in investigating problems and completion of Root Cause Analysis for process upsets. Manage some capital projects, including scope, implementation and commissioning.
A degree in Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of chemical process engineering experience. Candidate must be proficient in the use of PC Office Systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). The position requires an individual with excellent troubleshooting skills as well as a team player with the ability to make sound decisions with minimum data, if required. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently toward assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
