The purpose of this the HSE Field Advisor is to advise, and assist site crew management and employees with direction for implementation of CGGVeritas’ Health, Safety, and Environmental programs, policies and procedures and is responsible for planning and implementing safety and health programs in order to maintain a safe, hazard/incident free workplace, while ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures within local, state and federal, OGP and IAGC regulations and guidelines. This position performs duties under the authority HSE Coordinator.
The Senior Advisor – Cornerstone Underground Construction Safety and Health is responsible for assisting management in delivering our goal of zero injuries and occupational illnesses. The Senior Advisor will drive the development and implementation of construction management strategies to achieve that goal. The successful candidate must have education and experience with improving safety performance in a heavy industrial construction environment or underground mining environment. Provides focus and oversight of the development mining, construction, and drilling contractors’ safety and health programs ensuring compliance with established company policies and MSHA regulations.
The Health Safety and Environmental Director for Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation (UIC) acts as central point of contact for corporate and subsidiary HSE matters. This position develops and administers safety program and interacts at all levels of the company with both direct and indirect authority. The HSE Director collaborates extensively with UIC’s risk management department, which provides overall program direction. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and experience at the highest level of safety professional, and a proven ability to deliver an effective safety performance.
