Monday Accident & Lessons Learned: UK Rail Accident Investigation Branch Reports on an Accident that Could Have Been a Fatality

A fairly simple accident could have had tragic consequences. Just the luck of another passenger catching the woman’s leg prevented worse injuries or perhaps a fatality. And the engineer’s check to see if it was safe to leave the station didn’t catch the dangerous situation.
