Nano Safety in the News

Nanos (engineered nanomaterials) hold the prospect of major advances in many fields. But as with any new substance, hazards posed by nanos need to be explored.

Occupational Health & Safety reports that NIOSH presented preliminary findings “indicating multi-walled carbon nanotubes pose health risks similar to the risks from asbestos exposure.”
