On Location – the 2014 Global TapRooT® Summit: A Fun Glimpse of the Resort
Joe Little, Network Support Specialist here at System Improvements, just returned from visiting the site of the 2014 Global TapRooT® Summit, The Horseshoe Bay Marriott. The Summit is scheduled for April 7 – 11, 2014.
Joe said the first thing that stood out for him was “the overwhelming courtesy” of the hotel staff. “Every employee we came in contact with was always pleasant and greeted us with a warm smile.”
Although he didn’t get a chance to test the waters, he mentioned that he had an awesome view of the pool and hot tub from the balcony of his room.

Relax in the resort hot tub and heated pool.

The grounds of the resort are spectacular. Here are a few photos he shared with me.

Enjoy the beautiful grounds.

There’s a full service Marina on Lake LBJ.
.

And four different pools!
Another gem Joe discovered on his visit was Double Horn Brewing Company. This restaurant was located in a little town called Marble Falls approximately 5-10 minutes away from the resort.
“It is a quaint little town set in the Texas Hill Country and there is essentially one main road that passes through the middle and that road is 281,” he said.
“If you have never experienced Texas cooking then I would strongly recommend this place for at least one meal. The menu consisted of typical home-style cooking ranging from chicken fried steak to fish and chips to beef brisket. I chose the fish and chips but instead of chips I ordered onion rings. Needless to say the food was excellent. The fish and onion rings were beer battered and deep fried and they even had a slight hint of dill mixed in with the batter and it made for some of the best fried fish I have ever eaten. The service was warm and friendly and I almost felt like I had known our waitress for years when in fact we had only just met.”
Thanks for sharing with us, Joe!
