Position Purpose: Manage safety programs; support corporate and plant safety and health goals; develop health and safety strategies and programs; and support productivity improvement objectives.

Identify solutions for compliance issues

Evaluate management systems and identify opportunities for improvement

Administer plant safety and health programs

HAZCOM/HAZMAT

Provide counsel and advice on critical safety and ergonomics problems

Perform accident investigations and follow up on injury reports

Communicate effectively

Head up Safety committee & 1st responders

Conduct safety audits with Safety committee

Emergency evacuation plans/supervise practice drills

Assist in formulating long and short term strategic safety plans

Insure OSHA compliance/regulations

Analyze and resolve safety, industrial, and ergonomic issues

Develop/Deliver training processes

Develop strategies for cost reductions related to health and safety

Conduct Safety Training

Personal Protective Equipment, ergonomic, and fall protection assessment

Backup for nurse/medical personnel

Support DuPont quality initiative

Act as Security backup




Basic Requirements:

– Bachelor?s Degree

– At least 5 years experience in a Safety environment role

Additional Requirements:

– Excellent computer skills

– Excellent people skills

Position Purpose:

Plan and coordinate safety and environmental programs requiring application of engineering principles and technology to analyze and control conditions contributing to occupational hazards. Oversee Workhorse Custom Chassis? Worker?s Compensation Program.



Basic Requirements:

BS in Safety/Environmental Management or at least 6 years of safety/compliance experience

At least 4 years of Safety Compliance experience

POSITION REPORTS TO: Human Resources Business Team Leader POSITION SUMMARY: Manage safety programs; support corporate and plant safety and health goals; develop health and safety strategies and programs; and support productivity improvement objectives for 600 employee diesel engine machining and assembly plant. SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Identify solutions for compliance issues

Evaluate management systems and identify opportunities for improvement

Administer plant safety and health programs

HAZCOM/HAZMAT

Provide counsel and advice on critical safety and ergonomics problems

Perform accident investigations and follow up on injury reports

Communicate effectively

Conduct safety audits with Safety committee

Emergency evacuation plans/supervise practice drills

Assist in formulating long and short term strategic safety plans

Insure OSHA compliance/regulations

Analyze and resolve safety, industrial, and ergonomic issues

Develop/Deliver training processes

Develop strategies for cost reductions related to health and safety

Personal Protective Equipment, ergonomic, and fall protection assessment

Assist with early return-to-work program

Provide leadership, safety motivation to the employees and management teams

Adhere to work rules and collective bargaining/labor contract agreements

Review capital projects for built-in safety




KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Four year degree in related field

Previous Safety Management or experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Advanced Computer skills

Team oriented

Excellent communication skills




SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

– Occasional travel between divisions

– Participate in occasional cross-plant safety audits of other company operations
