We are excited to present the Safety & Risk Best Practices Track planned for the 2022 Global TapRooT® Summit. This is one of eight immersion tracks to help you tailor your Summit experience based on what you need to succeed. The Safety & Risk track is specifically designed for those who are responsible for promoting safe work practices and minimizing risk at their facilities.

How to Flex Your Safeguard Mix & Minimize Daily Job Risk, Kevin McManus

Developing the right safeguards for day-to-day work tasks is vital to improving safety and minimizing risk. Do you have the right mix to keep your workers safe? Learn how to build better safeguards.

Fighting Fatigue, Dr. Erin Flynn-Evans

Fatigue is a recognized risk in the workplace but the dangers associated with it are still clearly present as a contributing factor in workplace incidents. Dr. Flynn-Evans, leader of the NASA Ames Research Center Fatigue Countermeasures Laboratory, will lead this session with groundbreaking ideas for fighting fatigue.

Pre-job Risk Analysis & Pre-job Planning Workshop, Tim Diggs

Proactive risk analysis and planning will prevent incidents. Learn how to conduct a better risk analysis to avoid injuries and costly mistakes.

Dropped Objects Precursor Incidents, Jeff Gleason and Jason Dalen

There is much to be learned from precursor (near-miss) incidents. In this session, you will hear how a dropped object precursor incident created engineering fixes on a global scale. A dropped BOP incident investigation will also be presented including lessons learned.

Designing a Roadmap to Success, Rick Hulse
