What are Soft Skills, and why are they Important?

Soft skills are non-technical skills that relate to how you work. They include how you interact with other workers, how to solve problems, and how you manage your work. Soft skills are important because they make it easier to form good relationships at work.

Barb Carr joined TapRooT® in 2006. She is responsible for the continuous development of TapRooT® Evidence Collection and Investigative Interviewing Training. She is the co-author of TapRooT® Evidence Collection and Interviewing Techniques to Sharpen Investigation Skills (2017). Barb has an extensive background in legal and is trained with the National Forensic Science Technology Center. She completed human factors training at the University of Michigan. Barb has a B.S. in Psychology and is a Certified Professional Coach.

Benna Hughes, as an Implementation Strategist for over fifteen years, works with clients around the world helping them create a TapRooT® program designed to train their employees in RCA/Incident Investigation. Benna sets out to improve the quality of their investigations leading to a reduction in company incidents.
