Rating Improvement Programs

On Thursday, June 26 at 2:40 p.m., TapRooT® Instructors, Brian Tink, Haliburton, ON, Canada and Tom Brower, Guyton, Georgia will be presenting, The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: Rating Improvement Programs & Incident Investigations at the TapRooT® Summit.

The Good The Bad & The Ugly is a roundtable discussion and sharing of best practices related to evaluating the quality of investigations:

Most organizations find themselves at some point in time needing to improve the quality of their investigations in order to have a more positive impact on solving problems. During this session, the facilitators will lead an interactive discussion on rating investigation quality, and discuss some strategies for improving that quality. Through examples from the session leaders and material shared by participants, the session will help you gain insight and develop some ideas you can implement when you return to your site.

For those attending the above session, please bring with you the tools you currently use to evaluate the quality of investigations at your site. For those willing, we will facilitate sharing these tools after the session.

Questions to consider prior to the session:

1. Do you have a methodology for reviewing the quality of your investigation? How effective is it and what could improve it.

2. What are the common quality problems your review process identifies?

3. What are the roadblocks that are preventing higher quality investigations? What plans have you used to remove the roadblocks and improve quality?

4. What is the audience that sees the quality review results?

Brian and Tom look forward to meeting you at the session!
