Surviving Social Distancing

Social distancing to contain the potential transmission of coronovirus is a global reality in the present moment. However, social isolation in itself is proven to weaken our immune systems making us more vulnerable to illness. So, the actions we are taking to keep healthy may also work against us.

We’re wired for human connection, so picking up the phone can help tremendously in easing some of the stress of isolation. UC Davis also offered ten tips for surviving social distancing here including limiting social media and gratitude journaling.

We miss our face-to-face contact with all of you in a learning environment, and we’d like to offer our free podcasts. Listening to a human voice talking about positive ideas is soothing to the nervous system, and it also provides something to think about other than the current situation.
