TapRooT® in Houston!
Registration is open for the 5-Day TapRooT® Advanced Root Cause Analysis Team Leader Training in Houston, Texas (May 7 to May 11, 2007). If you’ve never been to Houston, this is a great opportunity to visit the nation’s 4th largest city!
Let’s start with the obvious for a Texas city: beef barbecue! Locals recommend Goode Company Barbeque, Brisket House and Pappa’s. The city is also a steak lovers dream-come-true because where there is beef, there are steakhouses! Houston is also known as “Bayou City” — so you’ll find boat loads of fresh seafood as well as Louisiana creole and cajun dishes. Houston’s Mexican dining includes Tex-Mex (enjoyed with pitchers of frozen margaritas or brown bottles of Dos XX with lime) as well as heart-of-Mexico cuisine (Mex-Mex) offered in fine dining establishments to humble taco stands.
But you’ll find lots to eat outside of regional favorites because Houston has a little bit of everything including Italian, Vietnamese (Little Vietnam is on the southwest side of downtown), Chinese (Chinatowns are near downtown and on the West side of town along Bellaire), Indian, German, French and Middle Eastern foods.
Locals and returning visitors enjoy the Pappas chain of restaurants, including Pappdeaux (Cajun), Pappsitos (Mexican), Pappas Seafood, Pappas Barbeque, Pappamita’s (Italian) and Pappas Steakhouse.
