Three Coal Mining Fatal Accidents Result in Citations/Recomendations

Inspectors from the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training held a meeting to discuss three recent mining fatalities and the resulting citations and recommendations.

The accidents involved included a bulldozer roll-over accident, a driver losing control of a haul truck on a downhill slop, and a worker falling overboard from a coal barge.
