U.S. Coast Guard and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Regulation and Enforcement Delay Release of BP Deepwater Horizon Accident Report Until July

The USCG-BOEMRE panel won’t finish its report on time. The reason? Delays in testing the blowout preventer. When wil the report be out? Its now scheduled to be released in July but will have a “preliminary statement” in April.

The Associated Press has reported that the investigation team may think that a design flaw may have been the reason that the blowout preventer failed.

In addition, the US Chemical Safety Board has objected to the USCG-BOEMRE panel’s decision to halt further testing.
