What Summit Attendees Need to Know
Read THIS Before Leave for the 2022 Global TapRooT® Summit
People who have never attended the Summit need to read this. But even “old hands” who have attended the Summit before need this information. In this article we will cover:
- COVID restrictions in Knoxville
- Summit dress
- Software you need
- Interacting with virtual attendees
- Student Competition
Knoxville has returned to normal. There are no mask requirements or social distancing in Tennessee. Local businesses may require masks but that is rare. We do ask that if in-person attendees develop any COVID symptoms, they attend virtually rather than in person.
Business casual is the normal dress for participants at the Global TapRooT® Summit. See the Summit pictures above and below to get ideas about what to pack.
We recommend that those who tend to be cold in air-conditioned spaces bring a sweater or a light coat. Temperatures in early May in Knoxville range from an average high of 74ºF to an average low of 53ªF.
Software for Summit
We are using the Whova website and app to facilitate networking and scheduling at the Summit. All participants should download the Whova app to their phone or link to the Whova website.
You should have already received directions for connecting to our Summit with this software. To download the app or to connect to the User’s Guide, scan the links below.
Here is a video that explains using the Whova App…
Here is how to use Whova on your computer or your phone…
Use Whova to reach out and network with other attendees.
We will use Whova during the Name Game (our networking exercise).
You can also use Whova to keep track of your agenda or to watch other sessions that you missed.
You will also use Whova to fill out critiques of sessions/speakers.
For those attending the Summit in person, the schedule that you selected during registration will be on the back of your badge. But you can also select your agenda on the Whova App.
If you are attending a Pre-Summit Course, make sure you know whether you are attending virtually or in-person and what time the course starts. Virtual and hybrid courses start at 9 AM Eastern Time. The 2-Day TapRooT® RCA Course and Equifactor® Course start at 8 AM Eastern Time.
The Summit starts at 9 AM Eastern Time on all three days (Wednesday-Friday).
Note that East Tennessee observes daylight savings time.
Interacting with Virtual Attendees

The Student Competition
There is a new aspect of the Summit in 2022 – the Student Competition. Here is Emily Pritt explaining the competition…
