Who Get's Access To Near-Miss Data? Aviation Industry Controversy …

Here’s the article in The Wall Street Journal that explains a controversy between the FAA and the NTSB:

From the story, it seems like the NTSB has run out of work since aviation crashes are at historically low levels in the US (thus little work investigating domestic commercial aviation accidents).

It does bring up an interesting performance improvement argument … How confidential does confidential near-miss data need to be?
