Session Description

What is the difference between a countermeasure and a solution? “Solution” implies an end to the problem. Countermeasures continue the performance improvement journey. In this session, we’ll explore using TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis on major incidents as well as how to develop lasting countermeasures. 

Speaker Bio

Jason Dalen was a police officer for 22 years (spending most of that time as a detective/investigator). He specialized in interview/interrogation and child victim crimes. Jason has worked in oil & gas occupational safety for 14 years, and for Hess for over 11 years. He is the program lead for the Hess Safety Leadership Training Course offered to both Hess employees and Hess contractors. He is a TapRooT® Instructor, OSHA 10/30 hour GI instructor, and instructor of numerous other safety-related subjects.
