Scheduled Topics

Sharing Lessons Learned

We start the Best Practice Track with a bang on Wednesday. Some of our best and brightest TapRooT® users will share their lessons learned. You will see how a “Lessons Learned Program” was created and implemented and how to leverage technology to share valuable lessons learned.

Gaining Management Support

Our next presentation on Wednesday will focus on how to engage the management team and gain their support. If you struggle with the alignment between people doing the work and the people directing the work, this will be worth 90 minutes of your time.

Causal Factor Worksheets

We will introduce best practices for using our new tool that helps TapRooT® investigators identify Causal Factors. Our own internal TapRooT® instructors will share best practices for using the Causal Factor Worksheets. Using the worksheets makes Causal Factor identification simpler and gives the investigator a sense of confidence in their findings.

Effective Single-Person Investigations

As great as Wednesday is, Thursday raises the bar even higher. The first presentation on Thursday will focus on the best practices for single person investigations. If you want to learn tips to help you perform a quick but effective investigation, don’t miss this presentation.

Custom Reports

The next presentation will be conducted by our IT gurus who will show you how to build custom reports in the software. The clearer you make your reporting expectations, the better investigators will meet those expectations. Clarity creates confidence so why not give them and yourself a customized report template so no one has to guess what to report and how to report it? Just think of the time, effort, and frustration you will eliminate by having a custom template in place!

Internal Checkup on Your TapRooT® Implementation

The next stop in our best practices track will help you internally check the quality of your TapRooT® investigations. We recently had a software release that introduced an investigation grading tool. We will share best practices on how to leverage those types of tools to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your program. That will help you continually improve your program for the best possible results.

How to Manage a Major Investigation

The last presentation will cover the best practices in managing a major investigation. Hopefully, you are using TapRooT® proactively and reducing the risk of major incidents. But, as they say, “stuff happens,” so we’d like to share best practices in managing those types of investigations.

Keynote Speakers

The best practice breakout sessions are the heart of the Investigation/RCA Best Practices track. But the Keynote Speakers will really knock you out.

See You There

We already excited to see everyone in June. Covid-19 has had us locked up in the offices away from teaching for far too long.  We can’t wait for the world to move toward normalcy. We will be ready to celebrate the other side of COVID with our TapRooT® family during the Summit in our hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee!
